Poor interviewing technique can mean officers are unable to maximise their opportunity to gather evidence and build a compelling case. This can be easily avoided by knowing how to avoid the common pitfalls. "Interviewing Under Caution" provides officers with the skills necessary to conduct an effective interview in compliance with PACE and the associated codes of practice. This practical 2-day course aims to enable officers to conduct effective interviews under caution. At the end of the course delegates will know how to structure an interview and employ appropriate questioning and listening skills. Furthermore guidance will be provided to ensure interviews are conducted in compliance with PACE, the associated codes of practice and The Human Rights Act.
